Video by Andy Coulton
This time lapse video shows the process of removing a large horse chestnut in Lewisham. As the tree was in a conservation area, the first step was to apply for approval from the council, which Amber Tree Care were granted.
The main obstacles to the job were limited access and a steeply banked garden below. We lowered limbs and core wood into a car park of a block of flats at rear and work was completed within three days.

A few years ago you kindly left a pile of wood chips for us in Winsford Gardens, Garden Road, Penge. If you have any more then we could use it again. We don't mind any kind of tree, apart from laurel, or even some leaves, and we can also take some logs if you have them. If you came on a Wednesday morning someone could direct you where to unload it, but if you left on a Monday or Tuesday then simply leave it in the same place as before, on the lawn to the left of the path and let us know via Facebook or email. I'm (personally) on holiday for a couple of weeks, but if you need a contact phone number then I will call you when I'm back in Penge.
