How we take trees down in tight London spaces
In London there’s very rarely room to fell a tree in one piece. Houses, extensions, fences, sheds, greenhouses and neighbouring gardens all sit within the drop zone, and access is often through a house or down a narrow side return.
So instead of felling, our climbers dismantle trees in sections from the top down. Each piece is cut and lowered on ropes using controlled lowering techniques, so nothing lands on the structures and fences below. The timelapses below show how it’s done.
